Autumn foliage campsites in Tokai (369)

The peak is an estimate. We take the Japan Meteorological Agency’s normals for the maple-colouring date and adjust them by elevation from Geospatial Information Authority of Japan data (about 2.5 days per 100m). These are not observations. The timing shifts with that year’s temperatures, so check local information before you go.

2 of these are named by two or more independent Japanese round-up articles. Each row shows which publications named it.
